SLP CAI and Engine Compartment
Supplier: SLP Engineering Cost: $ 200 Gains: ~10 HP / ~10 ft-lbs Opinion: Definatly worth it, you gotta love the sound of the intake after this mod
|
Stock Throttle Body on the Intake
Opinion: Stock intake is very restrictive so a lot of work is needed to make the engine breath better. |

Throttle Body before and after Porting and Polishing
Gain: Definate SOTP gain, probably around 10 HP Cost: $ 10 for grinding stones and lots of time Opinion: Worthwhile mod if you have the time and tools. A tuning device of some sort is needed to correct for the new airflow.

My Favorite: Catco 6007, 3" S-Pipe, 3" Dynomax I-Pipe
Supplier: Summit Racing, JEGS, and Advance Auto (respectivly) Cost: for parts / $ 100 install Gains: ~10 HP / ~10 ft-lbs Opinion: Deep and Muscular throughout the entire RPM range while under load and at startup. Can be somewhat raspy above 4K when not under load just like any other V6. I wish I had done this sooner, I love it!!

SLP Dual-Dual Rear Section
Supplier: SLP Engineering Cost: $ 200 from Ebay / $ 100 install Gains: ~10 HP / ~10 Ft-lbs Opinion: I was unhappy with it until I upgraded to all 3" pipes. After the upgrade, it sounded awsome.

3" I-pipe and 1LE AL Driveshaft
Driveshaft Supplier: GM (Ebay) Cost: $ 90 Gain: some added acceleration Opinion: A very easy install, only takes about 1/2 hour. My driveshaft seems to be hitting the floorpan and I still haven't fixed that problem. I didn't really notice any difference with this mod but I feel safer with the 1-piece than I did with that crappy 2-piece.
